Rainwater Harvesting Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: How does it all work ?
    • A: Rainwater falls from the sky and on to your roof. Normally it goes straight down your down pipes and in to the drains. Instead the rainwater get fed into a sediment filter. It then passes through to the underground water tank.

How you use the water now is up to you. You use a simple submisble pump and use it in the garden. Or you could have an extenal pump that sucks the water out and pumps around your house, feeding toilets or washing machine for example.

  • Q: Can your drink the harvested rainwater ?
    • A: You can only drink the rainwater if it passes through a UV sterilzation process

  • Q: If have no rear access, how do a get a tank to the back garden ?
    • A: We have a number of slimline water tanks that can be carried through doorways and you can walk the tank through your house.

  • Q: Is there access to the underground water tank for maintance ?
    • A: The underground water tanks will need very little maintance over the years, however their is a 16" bolt down lid which can be used to access the tank if need to.

  • Q: How do I install the rainwater harvesting system ?
  • Q: Can I drive over an underground water tank?
